Waste management for a sustainable future
Solid Waste ManagementDramatic changes are looming on the waste management horizon in nation-wide. Overflowing landfills and vast mountains of waste are no longer an urgent problem. On the contrary - waste would seem to have become quite a scarce commodity and the subject of keen competition. At a time when the waste management industry is making great efforts to reduce costs, it is particularly important to ensure that waste is land-filled in an environmentally sound manner that requires a minimum of post-closure care.
Our waste management policy;
· recover as far as possible non-avoided wastes
· keep the pollutant content of wastes as low as possible
· secure an environmentally compatible treatment and land-filling of non-recoverable wastes.
In this context a waste management guarantee must be ensured. Wastes are to be landfilled in such manner that the waste management problems encountered today are not shifted onto future generations.
